The mayor of Florence, Matteo Renzi has presented the Actor Oscar-winning actor for "Life is Beautiful" Roberto Benigni, and announced a series of shows in July and August. During the press conference of presentation of the events the young mayor also announced the conferment of honorary citizenship of the city of Florence, the actor and comedian born in the nearby city of Arezzo.

The honorary citizenship came on 15 days with the inevitable Benigni's show that has delighted audiences with some barbed jokes, for example, "Balotelli was waiting to pull against Spain was thinking, but Renzi is a candidate or not".
